A New Jersey jury has convicted a defendant who attacked his defense lawyer during his trial. The defendant smacked his appointed counsel in the face when the New Jersey defense attorney called him as a witness. The man also threw a microphone stand at the NJ defense attorney as he was being lead out of the Toms River courtroom.
If you have a disagreement with your criminal defense lawyer, there are several reasonable actions that can be taken to resolve the issue. Your defense lawyer is often the only person on your side. Your lawyer has taken and oath to zealously defend you. Attacking, assaulting, or throwing things at your lawyer is not the best way to provide incentive the attorney to properly represent you.
